I’m Laura and at time of writing 25 years young! I’m from the Netherlands, have my own flat and an office job. I love my wines in the sun while gossiping with a friend, shopping even though I don’t have tons of money, good food be it home-made by yours truly or from a restaurant. I love reading (think chick-lit and detectives) and my nerd stuff such as fanfiction, zombies and Tolkien. I adore spending time with my family and I go a bit crazy whenever Christmas rolls around. I get upset when Roger Federer loses a big tennis match and while I started running a few months back I really don’t like it.
But those are not the things that made me make this blog, or made me make the decison to go to New Zealand! Those are:
I love to travel
Being from Europe, it is so easy for me to see parts of the world! I drive half an hour and I am in a different country (Belgium, you all) and even Paris is only a few hours away by train! It is amazing, it is fun and I take every opportunity I get to soak up some culture in a different country.

I love Tolkien
When I was twelve my grandfather gave me his hard-copy of the Lord of the Rings. Back then I was only happy he gave me a book, not so much about it being LotR. Now, though, it is one of my most cherished posessions and the collection has since then grown with titles as the Hobbit, The Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales (and a bunch of others). I love the entire universe Tolkien created and to me, New Zealand is the embodiment of that. The nature, which I’ve seen in photos and movies, is simply breathtaking and then there are the people, said to be so nice and friendly.

So what’s a girl wanting to travel to do?
Go on a 4-week holiday, of course!
